Job Description:
We are currently seeking a top-level manager to oversee the operations of our family-owned marina located in downtown Newport. The Dockmaster will be responsible for managing both office and dockside operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of the marina. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills, as well as the ability to manage and train staff effectively.

Responsibilities:

Train and manage staff to ensure high-quality service delivery
Develop and implement daily dock plans to optimize efficiency
Coordinate and oversee marina maintenance activities
Manage booking reservations through online third-party websites, phone, and walk-ins
Maintain financial records and oversee seasonal contracts
Coordinate with onsite restaurant for seamless operations
Report directly to owners and internal business development team

Requirements:

Strong communication, phone, and radio skills
Excellent customer service skills
Physical capability to withstand walking and general labor during busy seasons
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Previous management experience preferred
General understanding of marina and boat operations desirable
Desire to learn and attention to detail
Valid driver's license
Availability to work weekends
