Facilities Technician

Sequoia is seeking a facilities Technician with experience in maintaining and documenting manufacturing and R&D lab equipment through its entire life cycle.

Responsibilities
Facilities Maintenance Technicians support & improve all facility maintenance efforts including preventive/predictive maintenance efforts, repairs, troubleshooting & new equipment installation
Execute corrective and preventive maintenance related to specific oral solid dosage manufacturing equipment and qualified utilities including work methods, procedures and documentation within a validated CMMS system.
Oversee and escort non-resident contractors, and suppliers.
Investigate opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.
They execute & improve preventative & predictive maintenance for facilities & utility equipment
Additionally, they support & participate in plant shutdown activities for facilities & utility equipment & participate in systematic problem solving
Perform corrective & preventative maintenance on systems & equipment
Operate, monitor & control equipment, systems & processes assigned
Review SOPs & PMs documentation & others as required
Review/ approve vendor documentation to ensure that accurate, concise documentation is submitted and meets all of the requirements of GMP's and internal SOP's.
Other reporting structure, tasks and accountabilities as may be assigned by management during execution of these responsibilities.
Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
Participation in plant Shutdown planning & execution
Growth & development of the Facility Maintenance Team
Actively use the Daily Standard Work Tool to account for the day to day activities

Qualifications
Minimum of 3+ years working with pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment
Facilities background preferred
Experience with operating equipment control systems (BMS, SCADA, etc.)
Hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical equipment and tools
GMP experience
Must have strong, collaboration, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
Possess the ability to describe in detail, and with appropriate confidence, position’s role in the maintenance program
The position requires a highly motivated, independent, detail-oriented team player. Good organization, initiative, and a collaborative attitude is essential
Physical abilities include but not limited to, lifting objects up to 50lbs, able to be on feet all day, climb steps and ladders as required by job
Experienced working with a CMMS systems – Maximo experience is a plus
