Los Angeles Maritime Institute - Our Crew members have a job that is constantly evolving. We strive to help the world develop a closer relationship with the ocean, through the course of our discovery based school sails, wacky adventures during summer camps, voyages, and many other public and private events. Education is a priority onboard our vessels, and not just for the students!

We are currently hiring for these positions:

CAPTAINS - Do you hold a Master of 100 tons, Near Coastal with Sail endorsement?
As captain you will be responsible for all elements of your vessel including safety, crew, training, executing education programs, and maintenance. Enthusiasm for sailing and interacting with school age youth and the general public is essential.

MATES - You will be responsible for running the vessel under the direction of the captain who is responsible for crew and all elements including safety, training, executing education programs, and maintenance.

DECKHAND EDUCATORS - Summer and year round Liveaboard Deckhands are encouraged to learn a variety of skills that prepare them for further growth in the maritime industry. Los Angeles Maritime Institute is a great starting vessel and a great place to advance your skills.
